January Outdoor Meeting
Wednesday 8th January 2020 Visit to RSPB Hamwall
Meet at Homebase car park at 1-30 pm, or at RSPB Ham Wall car park (ST449395) at 2-30 pm. Post Code BA6 9SX
An early start to our 2020 programme of visits and Starlings and their murmuration is the object of what we are hoping to see. Currently it is estimated that there are 120,000 Starlings coming in to the roosts in the evenings and the hope is that numbers will increase considerably by the time we make our visit.
Should you be interested in obtaining the current situation regarding the Starling roosts ring the RSPB Starling hotline on 07866-554142.
At this time of year there should be plenty of winter wildfowl to see together with Marsh Harrier, Great White Egret, and hopefully a Bittern.
